| Dr. Shock and Dingbat.
Nashville wasn't alone in it's hosts of the undead airwaves, as Chattanooga had it's own host as well - Dr. Shock! The show was called Shock Theater, and it was comprised of several cast members: Dr. Shock, Dingbat (a puppet bat), and Nurse Goodbody. They haunted the airwaves in Chattanooga, TN in the 1970's. Dr. Shock was played by the Program Director of WTVC, Tommy Reynolds. He was heavyset, clean-shaven, middle aged with long hair, stylized eye makeup and a Dracula cape with an up-turned collar. He usually was carrying a cane with a full sized skull on top, while Dingbat, his puppet bat, sat perched on his shoulder (he worked it with his other hand). Dingbat was created by WTVC artist Dan East. He would often yell "Flash, Flash, Flash" just before breaking to a humorous news bit.
