This is the webpage for the new environmental campaign launched by Dr. Gangrene, in conjunction with New Valiant Productions, to help keep Nashville and Middle Tennessee clean and make it a safer place to live. Trash Day Wins Environmental Sapphire At The Blingy Awards
Nashville, TN (10.14.08) This morning in Nashville, New Valiant Productions film makers Michael Creason and Cameron McCasland were awarded the Sapphire Blingy Award for environmental excellence at the 2008 Blingy Awards. The New Valiant Public Service short "Trash Day Of The Dead" from the "Go Green With Dr. Gangrene" campaign took the honor.
This is the second award for "Trash Day Of The Dead", as just earlier this week it was named a 2008 finalist in the AEGIS video & film production awards. The thirty second spot stars WNAB CW 58s Dr. Gangrene (portrayed by Larry Underwood) and his assistant Nurse Moan-Eek (Linda Wylie) as they do battle against litter on the streets of downtown Nashville.
Director Cameron McCasland stated "We are very happy to receive this honor from the Blingy Awards. Everyone from the Go Green With Dr. Gangrene campaign worked their hearts out, and this gives credence to their work. Even more so we hope that the citizens of Nashville have taken this message to heart, and that it will lead to a safer greener community for everyone who lives in our fine city."

Environmental Short Selected As Finalist In National AEGIS Awards
Nashville, TN (10.11.08) - New Valiant Productions is proud to announce that the Go Green With Dr. Gangrene campaigns "Trash Day Of The Dead" has been selected as a 2008 finalist in the 19th annual AEGIS video & film production awards.
"Trash Day Of The Dead"was recognized for its outstanding production quality in the category of "Television Commercial videos by a distinguished panel of judges representing industry professionals from around the country.
The thirty second Go Green With Dr. Gangrene short was written & directed by Cameron McCasland, and produced, shot, & edited by Michael Creason. It follows Nashville Horror Host Dr. Gangrene (Larry Underwood) and his assistant Nurse Moan-Eek (Linda Wylie) as the city is attacked by littering zombies.
"Trash Day Of The Dead" premiered earlier this year for the website www.gogreencrusade.com as well as on WNAB CW 58 in Nashville, which is the home of the long running Dr. Gangrenes Creature Feature. It became an immediate viral sensation garnering tens of thousands of hits in following days on New Valiant Productions Myspace page, myspace.com/newvaliant.
