In the grand tradition of horror-hosts from the golden age of TV horror, Dr. Gangrene, Physician of Fright, and his cast of crazies bring you chills and spills weekly from their secret hidden laboratory on the mysterious Shackle Island!

Dr. Gangrene's career began in 1999, as the brainchild of Larry Underwood, (who played the part of both Dr. Gangrene and Major Monterey Jack, resident monster hunter) - Together with his longtime friend and creative partner Chuck Angell they constructed a set and began airing in July of 1999. The original incarnation was called Chiller Cinema, and was a half-hour program that aired in Nashville weekly, on community access ch19.

Gaining in popularity, a cult following quickly grew around the doctor's show. It expanded to a second show in the Middle Tennessee area, The Mad Movie of the week, a 90 min program featuring public domain classics.

In 2003 Doc Gangrene moved the show onto Nashville's UPN CH30. This time it was called "Dr. Gangrene's Chiller Cinema.'" The program gathered awards and won critical acclaim, and the show suddenly gained a wider audience as it was now broadcast into 49 counties in Middle TN and Southern KY.

In October 2005 Dr Gangrene moved the show again, this time onto Nashville's WB CH58. Retitling it "The WB58 Creature Feature with Dr. Gangrene", the show was now a 2hr program featuring entire horror movies. Airing Saturday nights at 1am
